In the world of Endless Forms, modifying the human body is a crime — except, of course, for the soldiers. For Syx, who is slowly dissolving from a degenerative disorder, that law will mean their end. Refusing to wither quietly, they build and operate upon themselves in secret: robotic caretakers, illegal implants, and a spider-like carapace that lets them dance in an underground club.
But their body keeps failing. Syx’s search for survival becomes a search for something larger: a form that they are seeking. They remake themself for the ocean, escaping the harsh reality of the surface, and find community in a commune in the deep Atlantic, where humans claim to have escaped the violence of the surface by returning to nature. Their leader, Ouranais, offers Syx a vision of wholeness beyond the individual self — but the promise of belonging begins to feel like dissolution. Syx instead decides to move forward, upward, not back. But what will they bring with them?
Blending tabletop puppetry, shadow play, digital projection, and electronic music, Endless Forms follows Syx through a series of bodies: human, mechanical, aquatic, digital. It is a science-fiction myth about survival, autonomy, grief, and the stubborn human heart that persists through every transformation.
